Step Two – Chop The Fresh Ginger

Next, it’s time to chop the fresh ginger into small chunks. 

You will want to aim for chunks that are roughly 1 inch in thickness.

Step Three – Add To The Blender

Once you’ve cut your fresh ginger into small chunks, you will need to add them to your blender.

Along with your ginger chunks, add 1 cup of water.

Step Four – Blend Until Smooth

With your ginger and water in the blender, it’s now time to blend until smooth.

Step Five – Strain The Ginger Juice

Once you have blended your ginger juice until smooth, it’s time to strain the juice through a cheesecloth.

In the freezer, juiced ginger can last for up to six months!

Do I Have To Peel Ginger Root Before Juicing?

No, you don’t necessarily have to peel your ginger before juicing.

This is particularly true if you’re using a juicer, as your juicer will separate the juice from the pulp anyway.

However, when it comes to using a blender, peeling the ginger root beforehand makes it much easier for your blender to be able to cope.

In addition to this, it also means you’ll have less stuff to strain out of your ginger juice later on!

It’s also worth noting that the skin can make your ginger juice slightly more bitter, so you may still want to peel it, even though it’s not necessarily essential.
